The industry has missed key advancements, especially in suspension design. Traditional horse floats prioritize strength over ride comfort, leaving horses stressed after trips. Our Cloud 9 Air Ride system ensures they arrive relaxed. We also improved loading by lowering the float to the ground, eliminating the need for ramps, making loading safer and easier. For structure, we use Structural Insulated Panels (SIPS) and Structural Riveting, creating strong, durable joints that last a lifetime, without the need for post-weld galvanizing.
Cloud 9 Air Ride Suspension System
Our NZ-designed Air Ride system features four independent axles using proven airbag technology from the trucking industry, now available for smaller domestic use. It offers the smoothest ride for your horses, ensuring they arrive relaxed and ready. The system includes a smartphone app for full control: lower the float for easy loading, raise it for travel, or lift it for off-road clearance. The app also manages the 4-axle electric braking system while driving.
Auto Loading
A key feature of our Air Ride suspension is its ability to lower the float to the ground, offering a ramp-free, solid, and quiet entry for horses. No more spooking from ramp noise or heavy ramps to lift. With the touch of a button, you can lower the float for loading and raise it back to travel height in just 20 seconds.
Weldless Aviation Technology
Aviation airframes have remained flight-worthy for centuries thanks to riveted, weldless construction. Riveted joints are stronger and more durable than welded ones because they support the entire joint, not just the exterior. We've applied this proven technology to our entire structure, creating a stronger, longer-lasting frame.
Fully Insulated Interior
Using structurally insulated panels (SIPS) and our aviation-style riveted flashing system, we provide a lightweight yet incredibly strong insulated cabin for both horses and riders. With 50mm of insulation, it stays cool in summer and warm in winter.
Quad Laminated Floor
Floor design is crucial to us. We sought maximum strength without excessive weight, a solid sound to reassure horses during loading and travel, and durability to last the float's lifetime. Our solution: a quad-laminated floor featuring 2x 18mm H3 treated marine-grade plywood, a 1.6mm alloy sheet, and a 10mm rubber skin, creating 47.6mm of extreme strength and durability.
